In life, we are able to achieve a similarly harmonious balance across the many roles we fill when we have the right tools and approach our days with a healthy sense of humor. Why Baseball Caps?
Baseball caps get more play in our closets than any other accessory and yet, the market for women’s baseball caps is… basically nonexistent. There are plenty of brands that sell them, but they’re a white-labeled “toss-in” product — almost always made by a third-party supplier with a logo thrown across the front and no attention paid to fit, fabric or function. Have you noticed all of the puckering and weird puffy spots when wearing the baseball caps you own? Yeah, we did too. Needless to say, we got fed up with crummy caps and gave birth to CHORD.

The CHORD logo? It’s not just a pretty face. It’s a nod to the brand’s ethos and if you look closely, you might notice that it’s actually upside-down piano pedals. As a lifelong pianist, our founder Mary Orton included little nods to her love of music throughout each CHORD cap, including the stitching on the brim which mirrors a musical staff’s five parallel lines. Just like the many hats we all wear, those five lines symbolize the different roles we juggle every day.
But CHORD isn't just about looking good (although, let's be honest, that's a significant part of it). You’ll also find considered details on the back of your CHORD cap which features an adjustable cognac leather closure and a gold buckle to lock in the perfect fit. To ensure this sucker feels as good as it looks, we’ve included a few more winks inside each CHORD cap including a cognac sweatband designed to forgive the inevitable makeup stain while providing a comfy hug for your head.
